Here is what we think are the best bits.
Our Favourite Things To Do
-
Dali Museum and House
The Dali Museum in Figueres is a must visit and very funky museum. Dedicated to the Artist Salvador Dali in his home town, Figueres. The Dali House Museum is located in Portlligat and a fun side adventure for a day a the beach.
-
Wineries
There are some fabulous wineries in the area. Two of our favourites in the area are Terra Remota and Peralada. Terra Remota has a cool, laid back feeling while Perelada is a more sophisticated and organised event.
-
Coastal Visit
Our two favourite stretches of coast on the Costa Brava are Cadaques and Calella de Palafrugell. Both are beautiful former fisherman villages with an amazing selection of restaurants, accommodation and spots to sit in the sun.
-
Peratallada
Gorgeous little medieval walking village in the region. The whole town is made from stone buildings and oozes charm. There are a few small restaurants and bars to break up the day of walking around this cute town. More information here.
-
Shopping in La Bisbal
La Bisbal is known for its ceramics but also has some great vintage stores. Its a great area to explore if you’re interested in taking home some Spanish pieces. Some of our favourite stores are Ultima Parada, Sampere, GLA Emporda and La Bobila

Visit Girona
Girona means a lot to us as it has been a base to Lewis’ sister, husband and son. We have spent a lot of time exploring this town and have loved our time here. Girona’s old town is the perfect place to spend a few days exploring, shopping and eating. You can also enjoy lots of cycling and hiking in the area if you’re so inclined.
